Novena to Our Lady of Walsingham
in Honor of the Annunciation of the Lord

Saturday, March 16 - Sunday, March 24

Join us in praying a special nine-day prayer for the intercession of Our Lady of Walsingham.  On the tenth day, we will conclude with The Angelus, a prayer of devotion and belief in the Incarnation, in memory of the very first of Our Lady's joys — “The Annunciation”.

The Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord is a celebration of the Incarnation of the Second Person of the Trinity and the salvation of all humanity. Mary’s fiat or “great yes” is an example for us all as each day we face many opportunities to say “yes” to God.

Angelus, Mass, and Total Consecration Promise

A Plenary Indulgence will be received when visiting the National Shrine on this feast day for any faithful who participate in any Sacred Rite or at least recite the Lord’s Prayer and the Profession of Faith.  This Plenary Indulgence can be received under the usual conditions of: (1) Having the interior disposition of complete detachment from sin, even venial sin, (2) Sacramental Confession, (3) Holy Communion while participating at Mass, (4) Prayers offered for the intentions of the Holy Father.
